From mid Spring 2011 version 5.0 software has been made available for the Mitel 5000 telephone system (previously Inter-tel CS5000).

The new version of software is compatible with both the original CS and the new HX controller.  The HX controller allows 48 digital extensions to be placed within the main chassis so just one box can fulfill the telephony needs of a mid sized business.  The new controller also allows more analogue extensions and lines without the need to buy additional cards.

Version 5 software brings it new features such as multi-party ad hoc conferencing and in the box Hot Desking
